Meet The Face Behind VjP Tax & Financial Services

I’m Vonya McCoy, the proud owner of VjP Tax & Financial Services. I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

Ever since I was young, I have been good with numbers and have enjoyed helping people. I studied at La Verne University, where I earned a Business Administration (BA) degree. Later on, my tax career began in the early 2000s, with me gaining experience from multiple reputed firms. I then went on to start VjP Tax & Financial Services in 2010 with the goal of helping small businesses rise above the system with our value and affordability.

What started out of my home with the support of family and friends has evolved into two offices and the virtual capability to help hundreds of clients across Long Beach, California, and the surrounding areas.

Helping my clients grasp and understand taxes and other business solutions is what I love doing. Educating young adults coming out of high school and entering the workforce or college about taxes and business solutions that can generate long-term stability is also my passion.

My philosophy is every person, no matter where they live, deserves the opportunity to achieve financial literacy. I believe all progress takes place outside of the comfort zone.

Why I’ve been successful

As an individual, my core values are integrity, honesty, and simplicity. I attribute my success to making my clients a part of the experience and consistently trying to see beyond the stated needs of each client.

Helping hundreds of small businesses and supporting them each step of the way has given me immense satisfaction over the years.

During my downtime

I have a few different hobbies and interests when I am not at work. I started WoA - Women of Action, and we help motivate and support women. Our goal is to get moving and active outside our normal daily activities. I also love to exercise.

While I am really passionate about what I do, I also care deeply about mental health in our communities and our homeless population that needs support.
